You're careful, extra careful, because the last thing you want is to hurt anyone. Especially some poor boy whose only crime was liking you.

We've deduced you're fully capable of a dirty fling, but you do feel that post-coital attachment after hooking up. So, conscientious person that you are, you do your best to reserve physical affection for those you respect...so you can respect yourself.

Your biggest negative is the byproduct of your careful nature: indecision. You're just as slow rejecting someone as you are accepting them.

Your exact female opposite:

Half-Cocked

Random Brutal Sex Dreamer

Always avoid: The False Messiah (DBLM), The 5-Night Stand (DBSM), The Vapor Trail (RBLM), The Bachelor (DGSM)

Consider: The Gentleman (DGLM), someone just like you.

Link: The Online Dating Persona Test | OkCupid - singles | Dating

I went out to Nisqually this morning for a weed removal project, we spent maybe an hour-and-a-half pulling hemlock and ivy, and then I went birding. Among other things, I saw a great horned owl nest! It was in a big, old cottonwood snag a ways off the trail near the river, right in the sun. There were at least 2 big chicks in it, they looked like muppets with those flat, round faces and fuzz. I'll go back this weekend and see if I can get a better look. I found a photo that shows pretty much what they looked like, they seemed to be watching the people watching them. I can just imagine the parents hiding in a nearby tree giving us dirty looks.

http://www.owlpages.com/pictures/species-Bubo-virginianus-7.jpg

I posted on the tesc community to see if anyone had an used flash ipod that they wanted to sell, one guy got back to me about one he had, supposed to hold maybe 8 albums, which works perfectly for what I want it for. He wanted a specific type of cheap champagne for it. Unsurprisingly, when I met him to make the trade, the guy really looked like he needed to get outside more. Unfortunately, I want to find and put music on it without actually learning how to do this. Sigh. I am a dork sometimes...

For the first time this year it was warm enough to leave the door to the balcony open and let Duncan out for a while, even after I made him come back in he was flipping out. I can't just let him out and close the door, because as soon as the door closes he runs over and demands to be let in. That is why it has to be at least in the 50s so I can leave the door open and not freeze.

In other news, one of my texts for the plant bio class is a COLORING BOOK! It is pretty awesome, I haven't gotten to color for the longest time. On the left hand page there will be the text explaining the chemical process of photosynthesis, and the right hand page has a diagram of energy flow and arrows to color in, or plant structures, or cells, or genetics, or whatever. Yes there is a regular door-stopper botany text, but that is what you expect, right? The prof has a really bad cough, she seemed pretty uncomfortable last time, so hopefully she'll be better tonight.

Last night I had a friend over and we watched a very silly movie called "Shaun of the Dead", about this loser in England who gets dumped by his girlfriend and then has to try and save her from flesh eating zombies, very funny. Next quarter still isn't settled, but I should know by Tuesday what I am taking. Just trying to finish 10 UD science credits, is that so much to ask?!? I guess it is when you don't register thinking you'll just go ahead and take the BA instead of the BS and don't register until all the cool programs in your dinky school are full, but I MAY get something cool anyway, either a plant bio course or intensive pasture management. Also, I'm not sure I should confess this here in case I fail to follow through, but I have started running again, we'll see if I can manage to make it a regular thing.
So I got home Friday after spending Thurs night in Seattle, and find that my apartment is a sty. The girl that was taking care of the critters took care of them, but there was all sorts of kitty and bunny caused disgustingness, like moldy cat puke in the kitchen, and the bottoms of the bunny cages all full of litter and stuff, hard to get out when it is full up that way and also a good place for mold. For some reason, my computer was set up and open, so I think she used it while I was away, which would have been fine, except a couple keys from the keyboard are missing, I think Duncan must have done the claw sharpening on the keyboard, which is why I close the laptop when I'm not using it. So I get to spend several hours cleaning up nastiness, and am currently back to just disorganized clutter. I will try to get Costa Rica pics posted sometime this weekend.

I´m having a hard time getting my head together enough to post. Most everyone from the course is gone, except for this one snotty girl I can´t stand, and it is Holy Week, so some of the research places that I wanted to see are closed. I want to go to the beach, so I`ll try to get my card back tomorrow morning and get some cash and hopefully catch a bus to somewhere for a couple days.

Ok, so this will have to be quick, because we leave civilization again tomorrow morning at 5 to go to the Osa Penninsula. I´ve seen monkeys, parrots, bats, basilisks, all sorts of cool stuff, and hiked through one of the largest intact reminants of tropical rainforest in Central America. 20 miles of it, actually, on cruddy mountain trails, but no damage other than sore calves. Getting sick of some of the people on the trip, but that´s not surprising. Wish I had more time, but need to get some sleep, and for some reason this computer´s spellcheck is using a french dictionary, so if there is misspelled stuff....

So the people in my class seem to be watching out for me, I was out in the driveway crying just because it was such a pretty night and thinking about Stacy, and someone heard me and sent out one of the girls to check on me and let me know that they want to help if they can. They are waiting for me to finish getting steady right now, and then we are going for a walk just to look around.

Here I am, very tired, but the temp is just below 80, it is breezy and comfortable, and I already saw some cool plants and birds in the yard of the hostel, two blue and grey birds, bananas and coffee bushes and something that might be taro. It has rained more than usual this dry season because of La Niña, they say, and so lots of plants flowering. Now I take a nap...

I made it back to my ma's place yesterday, O'Hare sucked worse than usual, it was all backed up, I was exhausted and sick to my stomach. So I'm wandering around waiting on stand-by and kinda crying, it was pretty sad. But I'm home now, and Colleen is here, Mom's doing pretty well, but I guess Adam (her live-in boyfriend for the past 4 years or so) is just wreaked. Looks like it was just a freak accident, she was out with a group at a new bar in Fall River, the video shows her and Adam coming out and smooching out front, she got a phone call and walked around the corner of the bar. Apparently everyone in the group thought she got a ride with one of the others, and by the time they figured it out, the cops were at the scene, which was right behind the bar. So maybe she was just walking around, talking on the phone, slipped and fell and hit her head, because the conductor saw her on the tracks and blew the horn while he tried to stop, but she didn't move. She's being cremated, and the service will be probably on Wen.
